05 / THE QUIET QUESTIONS

What you probably want to know.

Everything a developer asks before pasting a key into production. If we missed one, the docs search is fast — or email support@snappdf.au.

No. Just drop a PDF in the dropzone above and pick a tool — no signup, no card. Free tier gives you 5 operations per day per tool. Pro ($9/mo) lifts the caps for everyday work. The API is a separate track with its own pricing, meant for developers automating PDF workflows in their own apps.
Consumers: 5 operations per day per tool, files up to 25 MB, no signup. Developers: 100 live API calls per month, sandbox keys with unlimited test runs, no card required. You cross either cap, we ask you to upgrade.
1 credit for most endpoints (merge, split, watermark, protect, rotate…). 2 credits for raster ops (to-images, compress). 5 credits for OCR. Your plan's monthly credit pool is what you actually see on the invoice.Full pricing table
JavaScript/TypeScript, Python, PHP, Ruby, and Go — all typed, all on their native package managers (@snappdf/sdk, pip snappdf, composer snappdf/sdk, gem snappdf, github.com/snappdf/snappdf-go).SDK docs
Sync endpoints stream the result back in the response body — nothing stored. Async endpoints drop an artifact in an S3 bucket with a 24h TTL lifecycle. You can request your own bucket for enterprise.
Free: 10 req/min. Starter: 60. Pro: 300. Business: 1,500. Every response carries X-RateLimit headers. Burst above your tier queues rather than 429s where possible.
Not yet. The drivers layer (pdfium, qpdf, sharp, tesseract) is designed to run anywhere, but a shipped self-host build is a 2026 Q3 roadmap item — let us know if you need it sooner.
SignBolt is our sibling product — PAdES-grade e-signatures with documents, templates, envelopes, recipients, audit trail. Same self-serve playbook, same warm aesthetic. A contract workflow typically uses SnapPDF to prep the document (merge pages, watermark, add page numbers) then hands it to SignBolt to collect signatures. They run on separate accounts today; unified billing is on the near-term roadmap.Visit SignBolt
